Is hibernation missing in your Windows 7 shutdown menu?

To enable it do the following.

1) Open a command prompt as administrator and run

powercfg /hibernate on

If that doesn't turn it on then do the following: Open Power Options -> Change when the computer sleeps -> Advanced Power Options.

Expand Sleep -> Turn Off Hybrid Sleep.
