How to change the IP address of an AS/400 OUTQ

Stop the Writer

press [ESC] and run

WRKWTR

Select the writer you want to work with.
Choose option #4 to end the Writer.
Press [F3] to exit.


Vary off the device

press [ESC]

WRKCFGSTS *DEV *PRT

Select the device you want to vary off.
Choose option #2


Work with Description (Change the IP)

While still in WRKCFGSTS choose option #8 to work with description.
Then choose #2 to 'Change'

Now Page down to the IP address and change it.
Press [F3] to exit.
Press [F3] to exit to "Work with Configuration Status" screen.


Vary the device back on

Select the device you want to vary on.
Choose option #1
Press [F3] to exit.


Start the Writer

press [ESC] and run

WRKWTR

Select the writer you want to work with.
Choose option #1 to Start the Writer.
Press [F3] to exit.
